Privacy Policy

This policy explains how BriskCMS (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website, briskcms.com. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

It covers this website and our waitlist. When the BriskCMS product launches, it will come with its own terms and privacy information for customers.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
• Your role (for example marketer, agency or developer), if you choose to tell us when you join the waitlist. We use it to send you information that’s relevant to you.
• Anything you choose to send us, such as your name, company and the content of your message when you email us.
• Basic technical information that our hosting provider records automatically when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used for security and to keep the site running, not to identify you.

You can browse this website without giving us any personal information. You don’t have to give us your email, but we can’t add you to the waitlist without it.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn’t use analytics, advertising pixels or any other tracking, and browsing it doesn’t set cookies. Our fonts are hosted on our own servers, so visiting the site doesn’t send your details to font providers either. If that changes, we’ll update this policy before it does.

The one exception is a bot check on the waitlist form. When you start filling it in, the form loads Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you’re a person rather than an automated program. To do that it looks at technical signals from your browser and device, such as your IP address, and may store information in your browser. Cloudflare uses those signals only to detect bots, not to identify, profile or advertise to you. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

How we use your information

• To let you know when early access opens and send occasional product updates.
• To reply to your questions and requests.
• To keep this website secure and working properly.

We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t use it for anything unrelated to BriskCMS without your consent.

Unsubscribing

Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You can also ask us to remove you from the waitlist at any time by emailing us.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information with service providers who help us run BriskCMS, and only as far as they need it to do that job. They include Amazon Web Services, which hosts this website and stores waitlist details; Cloudflare, which runs the bot check on the waitlist form; and the providers we use to send email. They’re required to protect your information and can’t use it for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of BriskCMS, our users or others.

Overseas storage

We store waitlist details with Amazon Web Services in Sydney. Some of our service providers, including Cloudflare, may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. When that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limiting access to the people who need it. We keep waitlist details until you unsubscribe, or until they’re no longer needed for the purpose we collected them, and then delete them.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us. We’ll respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you’re concerned about how we’ve handled your personal information, please email us first and we’ll work with you to resolve it. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as BriskCMS grows. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we’ll let people on the waitlist know.
