An AI website editor with guardrails

Edit your website from the Claude or ChatGPT plan you already pay for. Every change is a draft you can preview, and your design stays locked.

Why we built BriskCMS

Hey there,

Let’s be honest … learning a new user interface is boring. Training people on a new interface is boring. And traditional CMSs can be expensive.

But editing your website’s content is mission critical, and it should be quick and easy to do.

If you do most of your work in Claude or ChatGPT and would prefer to edit your website’s content from your AI assistant, BriskCMS is the MCP-first CMS for you.

Describe your website changes in plain English, directly in the AI assistant of your choice. BriskCMS creates a draft and gives you a preview link. Nothing goes live until you say “publish”.

We know “let an AI edit your website” sounds risky, so we built the guardrails first. The assistant can change words, images, posts and pages built from sections your web designer or developer has approved. It can’t touch layout, design or code.

Every edit also keeps your page titles, descriptions and schema markup up to date, so search engines and AI assistants read your site accurately.

We’ve spent the past 11 years building websites on just about every CMS, from WordPress to Webflow to Storyblok. Some of them now offer an MCP server, but that’s a new door into the same building: you still pay for the platform, and it’s made for developers. BriskCMS is AI-only. There’s no dashboard for us to build or for you to pay for, so it costs less than a typical CMS plan.

It’s probably the fastest way to manage website content.

It starts with Astro

Version 1 works with websites built using Astro. Support for static Next.js, Hugo, Jekyll and Eleventy websites is coming soon.

How it works

From request to live page in three steps

Your developer or agency connects the site once. After that, everyone on your team edits from the assistant they already use.

  1. Step 1: Connect

Your developer or agency connects your Astro site once. You add BriskCMS to Claude or ChatGPT in about a minute.

  2. Step 2: Ask

Describe the change in plain English. BriskCMS makes it as a draft.

  3. Step 3: Preview and publish

Open the preview link. If it looks right, say “publish”. It’s live in seconds.

What you can ask

Anything you’d ask a web editor to do with your content. A few real examples:

  • You: Swap Sarah’s headshot on the Team page for the new one I just uploaded.

BriskCMS: Done. Sarah’s photo is updated in a draft — nothing is live yet.

    DRAFT/team

  • You: Change our Saturday hours to 9 till 1.

BriskCMS: Updated on Contact and in the footer. Your Google listing data is updated too.

    DRAFT/contact

  • You: Publish the attached article as a blog post, tagged Property.

BriskCMS: Drafted with a title, summary and header image from your library.

    DRAFT/blog/stamp-duty-changes

Under the hood

BriskCMS works with the Claude or ChatGPT plan you already pay for. It connects through MCP, the open standard both assistants use to connect to other tools, so there’s no CMS dashboard to run or log in to. It’s an MCP-first CMS.

Guardrails

Safe by design, not by promise

The limits aren’t instructions the AI is asked to follow. BriskCMS only gives it tools that edit content.

What the assistant can change

  • Copy
  • Images
  • Blog posts
  • Pages from approved sections

What it can never change

  • Layout
  • Design
  • Code
  • Drafts and preview links

Every change starts as a draft with its own preview link. Nothing goes live until someone with permission says “publish”.

  • Design and code are locked

The assistant works with content only. Layout, styling and code stay exactly as your developer built them, whatever anyone types.

  • Roles and permissions

Decide who can draft, who can publish and which pages each person can touch.

  • Version history and rollback

See who changed what and when, and restore any earlier version in one step.
